The Name
'Hahami' comes from the extinct Chorotega language used by indigenous groups that populated the Northern Pacific region of Costa Rica. The world vision of the Chorotega included a deep respect and a balanced use of nature and its resources. Hahami means four in Chorotega and it stands for the four core pieces of the organization's holistic process to evolve education systems: Engage, Experience, Educate, and Empower.
